WINTHROP – Lucille Wells of North Monmouth was honored at a 90th birthday party recently at the Winthrop American Legion. The party was planned by her children.

Family and friends from many Maine communities, as well as Massachusetts and Virginia, were on hand to celebrate.

Mrs. Wells was married to Osborne Wells and they resided in North Monmouth for many years, raising seven children. Mr. Wells died several years ago.

Mrs. Wells has 31 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She received cards, gifts and floral tributes as well as a decorated birthday cake. A light lunch was served.
