LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Oct. 6 with 36 members present.
Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and for the men and women in the armed services.
Lucille Frechette was welcomed back. Reported on the sick list were Marie Leblanc, Dora Slovak, Norman Duguay and Betty Richards.
Due to lack of sufficient funds, it was voted to eliminate the monthly birthday cake and weekly cookies.
Those wishing may bring cookies or some other snack to the meeting.
It was voted to have a Halloween party on the last Monday of October and to bring finger foods.
A brief discussion was held regarding the Christmas meal.
It was agreed to have Janice Sweeney cater.
The 50-50 was won by Lucille Frechette.
