LEWISTON – Lewiston High School Prinicipal W. Gus LeBlanc has announced that Toby A. Crispin and Christina M. Zahn have been named Commended Students in the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Program.

A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation, which conducts the program, will be presented to the seniors.

Although they will not continue in the 2009 competition for National Merit Scholarships, Commended Students placed among the top 5 percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2009 competition by taking the 2007 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
