HEBRON – The descendants of Mary Elizabeth Stewart and Charles Franklin Reed held their annual reunion on Aug. 10 at the home of Richard and Jane Hatch, with 40 members and guests attending.
The business meeting was conducted by President Jane Hatch. A moment of silence was observed in memory of Charles Dysart, who died during the year. It was voted to elect the same slate of officers for the ensuing year.
“Happy Birthday” was sung to Scott Poole, Sherry Giberti and Amulet Giberti. Recognition was given to the youngest member, Amulet Giberti, and the eldest member, Lois Gordon. New babies welcomed into the family this year were Luke Justin Norman, twins Abeygayle and Izabella Doten, Cara Brynn Lorain Buck and Tryston Colby.
Following the business meeting, “Reed Family Bingo” was played and the annual pie-eating contest and egg toss were held.
Present were family members and guests from Auburn, Lewiston, Wales, Livermore, Livermore Falls, Lisbon, Canton, Hebron, Danvers, Mass., and Greenwood, S.C. The 2009 reunion will be held on Aug. 9 at the Hatch home.
