WILTON – The Western Maine Blacksmith’s Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the Wilton Historical Society.

There will be discussion on recent outings as well as upcoming events.

The program will be “Back to the Basics.” The “open forge night” will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, at the fairgrounds shop. Visitors are welcome.

The Franklin County Fair will run from Sept. 14 through 20. The blacksmith shop and “Rolling Smithy” will be open at the fairgrounds from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Saturday; and noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
