Mexico class holds 55-year reunion
MEXICO – The Mexico High School Class of 1953 held its 55th reunion on July 26 at Mexico High School (now known as the Mexico Recreation Center).
Fifteen classmates, three guests, a class marshal and his wife were present.
Calvin Lyons was in charge of the social hour, and Robert Brown said grace before the meal. From 6 to 7 p.m. a hot buffet was served as was an anniversary cake provided by the Reunion Committee.
A short business meeting was held, with Vice President Arthur Bordeau asking classmates about the next reunion. The class decided to go out to eat at the next reunion. Lyons was Master of Ceremonies. Barbara Vaughn of Peru took class pictures. Socializing and music followed.
Assisting at the reunion were Gary Phillbrick; Calvin Lyons; the Decorating Committee, June Weeks, Barbara Smith, Betty Salatino and Louise Maranda; and Robert Brown, artistic work.
