Vision seminar

LEWISTON – The American Optometric Association and Optometric Associates has announced that August is Children’s Vision and Learning Month.

Dr. Stephen Ebersole will present a free seminar at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, on the relationship between learning/reading and vision and how many children with difficulty in school may actually have a visual component to their problem.

Grange outing

AUBURN – Members of Danville Junction Grange will meet for their annual outing at around 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at the Hatch farm, Leeds Junction Road, Wales. Members are to bring their own meal as well as a dessert or salad to share and lawn chairs. A grill will be available for those wishing to cook. A short business meeting will be held. All members and guests are welcome. Rain date is Thursday, Aug. 28.
