Kevin Mitchell graduated on May 10 from the University of Maine in Orono with a bachelor of arts degree in new media. He ended the semester making the dean’s list with a grade point average of 3.75.

Mitchell worked for Campus Recreation and the Division of Student Affairs, doing marketing and graphic design. He also participated in intramural sports. Kevin is the son of Mike and Linda Mitchell of Minot and the grandson of Roger and Natalie Marshall of Hartford and Burton and Janet Mitchell of Leeds. He is a 2004 graduate of Poland Regional High School.

Timothy C. Cole

Timothy C. Cole of South Paris graduated on May 17 from Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., at the 145th commencement ceremony. Cole received a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in business finance and history. He is a 2004 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and is the son of Curtis and Terry Cole of South Paris.

Bethany Latulippe

Bethany Latulippe has attained the dean’s list for the fall 2007 and spring 2008 semesters at the University of New England-Biddeford campus. Her first-year grade point average was 3.86. Latulippe has just completed her college freshman year and is studying medical biology. She is a 2007 graduate of Oak Hill High School in Wales, graduating valedictorian of her class.

Joseph Pepper

Joseph Pepper, son of Les and Miki Pepper of Farmington, recently graduated from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, Calif. He was graduated as a Juris Doctor Graduate, Cum Laude. He plans to return to Maine to take his bar exam.

Carolyn A. Curtis

Carolyn A. Curtis of Hebron was one of 521 seniors who graduated from Colby College on May 25, receiving a bachelor of arts degree at commencement on the lawn of Miller Library in Waterville.

Curtis is the daughter of: John and Patricia Curtis of Hebron. Her major was sociology. She graduated magna cum laude. Honors included the dean’s list, distinction in major and honors in sociology, She graduated from Hebron Academy.

Mary Gay Metevier

Mary Gay Metevier of Portland graduated cum laude from the University of Southern Maine on May 10, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. Metevier, a dean’s list student, previously attended LeMoyne College in Syracuse, N.Y. She is employed by Pierce Promotions in Portland.

Metevier is a graduate of Cheverus High School in the Class of 2004, the first class in which women attended all four years. She is the daughter of Paul and Gay (Peterson) Metevier of North Yarmouth. Gay Metevier is a former Auburn resident.

Mary is the granddaughter of Beverly and the late Richard Peterson of Auburn and Virginia and the late Robert Metevier of Kittery.

Timothy M. Williams

Timothy M. Williams of Lewiston received a bachelor of arts degree at commencement on the lawn of Miller Library, Colby College, Waterville.

Williams is the son of Kenneth Williams of Old Orchard Beach and Diane Williams of Lewiston. He majored in managerial economics (independent) and graduated from St. Dominic Regional High School in Auburn.

Malley O’Shea

Malley O’Shea of Livermore was named to Susquehanna University’s dean’s list for the spring semester in Selinsgrove, Pa. The dean’s list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.4 or higher out of a possible 4.0 for the semester. To qualify, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours. O’Shea, a rising junior majoring in public relations, is a 2006 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and the daughter of Annie and Dan O’Shea.

Tracy Dube

Tracy Dube of Turner graduated from Lasell College in Newton, Mass., earning a bachelor of arts degree in communication on May 21.

Christopher Farrell of Gray made the dean’s list for the spring semester at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Undergraduate students earning a 3.00 or higher academic average for the semester are named to the dean’s list.

Jonathan D. Hall

Jonathan D. Hall graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design Savannah, Ga., on May 31. He received a bachelor of arts degree, summa cum laude from the School of Building Arts. Hall was also inducted into the international honor society of Sigma Phi Kappa Zeta Chapter for Historical Preservationists.

He is the son of Gloria Hall and Elwood Lowell of Buckfield and Walter and Alice Hall of Deerfield Beach, Fla. Hall is a 1986 graduate of Edward Little High School, Auburn.

Angela St. Hilaire

Angela St. Hilaire, daughter of Joan St. Hilaire of Lewiston, has received recognition at the University of New England’s spring awards convocation on April 15 at Ludcke Auditorium on the university’s Westbrook College Campus in Portland. She received an award for academic performance for dean’s list fall semester 2007 and spring 2008.

A graduate of Lewiston High School, St. Hilaire is a major in dental hygiene and is involved in student activities. She received an associate degree in May 2007 and her bachelor’s degree this May.
