MEXICO – The Mexico Public Library will host an American Girl Tea Party for girls ages 5 to 11 at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at the Calvin Lyons Hall, next door to the library.

Those attending will meet American Girl, Kit, and travel back in time with her to 1934 during the Great Depression.

Girls will work on a craft and play games from that era. In addition, they will participate in a Little Orphan Annie Radio Program. A real tea party with light refreshments will be held.

American Girl dolls are invited to attend with their owners. Although not necessary, girls are invited to dress in the style of clothing that was popular for girls in the 1930s.

RSVPs are encouraged. For more information, call the library at 364-3281 or inquire at the circulation desk.
