Vacation school
JAY – Bean’s Corner Baptist Church will hold its annual Vacation Bible School for children Monday through Friday, June 23 to 27.
This year’s curriculum is based on “SonWorld Adventure Park,” built on the attractions of a theme park. Participants will spend time singing, watching skits, creating crafts, playing games, hearing Bible lessons and having snacks.
Sessions will be held daily from 9 a.m. to noon. Classes will be held for children pre-kindergarten through grade six. A closing program will be held at 11 a.m. June 27.

Church dinner
KINGFIELD – The Kingfield United Methodist Church will sponsor a public dinner on Saturday, June 21, at the church. Serving will begin at 5:30 p.m. Provided will be baked beans, hot dogs, salad and dessert. Cost will be $7 for adults, $3 for children under 12, with family rates available. Take-outs will also be available by calling the church at 265-4921.
Benefit supper
JAY – A benefit spaghetti supper and dance will be held on Saturday, June 28, at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Dance music will be provided by DJs Steve and Leslie Bull. The supper will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. with a dance to follow from 8 to midnight. Cost will be $5 for each event.
The event will be held for Clark Souther, a long-time resident of Livermore Falls and president of the Maine Pork Producers Association. Souther was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and pancreatic cancer. His friends, family and neighbors are sponsoring the benefit.
Yard, bake sale
FARMINGTON – A Henderson Memorial Baptist Church yard sale and bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 21, on Academy Street. Call 778-2163 for details.
Grange supper
CHESTERVILLE – The Chesterville Grange will have a public baked bean supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at the grange. There will be baked beans, salads, casseroles, biscuits and homemade pies. Cost is adults, $6; children, $3.
Worship change
WILTON – Worship at the Wilton Congregational Church will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Sunday, June 22. It is a special start time, arranged in order that members of the church may also attend the statewide worship service of the Maine Conference, United Church of Christ, which will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Old South Church in Farmington.
Worship will resume at the usual time of 9:30 a.m. at the Wilton church on Sunday, June 29.
