FARMINGTON – Koko, a chocolate lab, loves to play fetch and go for long walks on the beach, said staff at the Franklin County Animal Shelter.

They said he does know some basic commands, but needs some fine tuning on training. He loves to play with other dogs and would like to be with a cat that would tolerate his size.

New dogs at the shelter include a terrier mix male, shepherd/black lab mix male and shepherd mix female.

The shelter will hold a vaccine clinic from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Sunday, May 18. Owners may stop by to get their pets vaccinated. A spay and neuter clinic will also be held on that day. Appointments are necessary by calling at 778-2638 to make arrangements.

The shelter will also hold a lawn sale on May 23, 24 and 26 through 31. All proceeds are going to the animals at the shelter.
