Bridge winners
NORWAY – The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met April 18 at the Fare Share Building, Main Street, when a four-table Howell movement was played.
Finishing first in Flight A were Kathy and Pete Cummings; second, Mil Owens and Dick Allen; third, Bev Dolan and Bev Pelletier, who also finished first in Flight B; second in Flight B, Eleanor Griffin and Jim Dickens.
There will be a game at 9:30 a.m. Friday, April 25, and all bridge players are invited. A partner is guaranteed.
Choir concert
OXFORD – The Northern Lights Youth Choir will present a concert of traditional and contemporary Christian music at 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, at the Oxford Advent Christian Church. The choir is comprised of 43 teens from several churches in central Aroostook County.
The choir was formed in 1974; since then, the group has undertaken 35 tours across the eastern part of the United States and Canada.
The program incorporates vocal and instrumental music, along with drama. Admission is free and all are welcome.
Scouting day
PARIS – Girl Scouts of Maine will hold a “Wide World of Scouting” Day for all girls in grades kindergarten to 12 in the Oxford Hills area from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10.
Girls will do crafts from around the world, play games and dance.
They need to register by Thursday, May 1. Call Diana at 743-7014. Space is limited. There is no cost; however to participate girls must be a member of Girl Scouts. There is a $10 membership fee and assistance is available.
Kids festival
BRIDGTON – A children’s hands-on art festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Stevens Brook Elementary School. The event is being sponsored by the Bridgton Community Center and Landmark Human Resources. There will be take-home projects, food, trains and parades.
