TURNER – SAD 52 River Valley Adult and Community Education will present Power Point-Create beginning Monday, April 28.

Participants will create a customized slide show, use drawing tools, create charts and convey information in an eye-appealing way. They will learn to produce an effective, professional presentation in the four-week class.

A Reiki Level I class will start Tuesday, May 13. Reiki is an ancient healing art that channels universal life force and energy through the hands to promote healing.

SAD 52 River Valley Adult and Community Education will lead a series of three hikes. On Saturday, May 10, participants will hike up Streaked Mountain. The trail is a rugged climb and can sometimes be steep but the top view is beautiful. Rain date is May 17.

On Saturday, May 24, a hike will go to the top of Monument Hill. It is not a long or difficult climb. Hikers will view Leeds from the top and see a monument honoring area veterans. Rain date will be May 31.

The Androscoggin River land hike on Saturday, June 7, is a walk back in time when an entire village was created along a river. Foundations and rock walls tell their own stories. This hike is east walking through woods and dirt roads. Rain date is June 14.

Half of the proceeds of the hikes will benefit the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society.
