Cemetery meeting
MEXICO – The annual meeting of the Farrington Morton Cemetery Association will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, at the Mexico Congregational Church conference room.
Election of officers and other business will be on the agenda. Anyone owning a lot in the cemetery is a member of the association and is welcome to attend.
Class lunch
MEXICO – The Mexico High School Class of 1955 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Far East Restaurant. Everyone is invited.
Stephens meeting
RUMFORD – The Stephens High School Class of 1948 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 17, at Sam’s Italian Shoppe. Call Bev at 364-4085 if planning to attend.
Silent auction
CANTON – The Canton Cruisers Relay For Life Team will hold a Chinese and silent auction on Saturday, April 19, at the Canton Fire Station. Doors will open at 2 p.m. and the auction will begin at 4 p.m.
Hot dogs, chili, chips, desserts and drinks will be available. Auction items will include gift certificates, kid’s tables, handcrafted goods, jewelry, baked goods, home decor items, holiday items, tools, lawn and garden items.
For more information, call the Canton Town Office at 597-2920 or ask any team member. A partial list of auction items will be available at the town office or through team members. Proceeds will benefit River Valley Relay For Life.
1949 class meeting
RUMFORD – Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet for luncheon at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the Carriage House in Livermore.
Talk on bees
PARIS – The Western Maine Beekeepers Association will present a slide show and talk by State Apiarist Tony Jadczak on honey bee pests, diseases and medication from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at the First Baptist Church, Paris Hill.
