Congressman Mike Michaud and the Oxford County Democrats launched the 2008 campaign on Feb. 21 at the Oxford County Courthouse in South Paris. Candidates for county office were introduced, including Paul Dumas Jr. of Mexico, judge of probate; Bruce Rood of Norway, register of probate; Rep. John Patrick of Rumford, county commissioner, District 2; and Charleen Chase of Bethel, county commissioner, District 1. Michaud and the county Democrats then held a Meet the Congressman event at Market Square Restaurant.
