PARIS – A benefit supper will be held at the Paris Fire Station from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 7. The menu will include roast pork, mashed potatoes, tossed salad, mixed veggies, rolls, beverage and assorted desserts. A 50/50 raffle will also be held.

The cost will be adults, $6, and children ages 4 to 12, $3. Admission is free to children age 3 and under. Proceeds will go to a longtime Paris fireman.

Seniors to meet

BETHEL – The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the Serendipity Cafe, Cross Street, for a luncheon and meeting. Call Nancy at 824-3350 or Arlene at 824-2877 for reservations prior to Monday, March 10.

Sunday service

PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, South Paris, will worship at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, March 9. Sunday School and Making the Old Story Our Story Bible study will be held at 9 a.m. Coffee, refreshments and fellowship will follow the service.

PARIS – Silver Moore-Leamon will be guest speaker Sunday, March 9, at the First Universalist Church, 36 Pine St., South Paris Her sermon topic will be “These Bones Gonna Rise Again.”

Music is under the direction of Forest Perkins and Sunday school is under the direction of Renee Wales. Coffee and fellowship will follow the sermon. Child care is available and all are welcome.

Heywood Club

NORWAY – The Heywood Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, March 10, at the home of Shari Morse. Guest speakers will be PACE officials, sharing health information and details regarding the Vial of Life program. For more information, contact Evy Marshall at 743-8030.

Library talk

WOODSTOCK – The March program at the Whitman Memorial Library will be a discussion of the Oxford Hills One Book/One Community selection, “Here if You Need Me” by Kate Braestrup.

Marta Clements will lead the discussion at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 13. Books are available at the library. The program is open to the public at no charge.

Dance music

PARIS – The Jones Dance Band will play old-fashioned dance music from 7 to 10 p.m. March 14 to 28, at the South Paris Legion Hall, Church Street. Adult tickets are $5.

Band members are Willie Jones on drums, Dick Abbott on saxophone, Jim Sakafky on trumpet, Norm Decoteau on keyboard. The lunch counter will be open.
