AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College will offer “CPT Medical Coding” (CED 023-01) from 4 to 6 p.m. Feb. 20 to April 23. The cost of $399 includes textbooks.

CPT codes are those which are assigned based upon the physician documentations regarding services rendered. The class will provide participants with the ability to choose the correct procedure codes, including modifiers used to optimize reimbursement based on documentation.

The class will cover all aspects of CPT coding during a 10-week period, including E&Ms, anesthesia, surgery, laboratory and medicine codes. The class is good for anyone who is involved in physician billing and coding. The course will be taught by Judy Roy.
