Alex Chartier of Leeds has been named to the dean’s list for the fall quarter at Maine Maritime Academy, Castine. A graduate of Leavitt Area High School in 2006, he is a second-year student, studying marine engineering technology.

Chartier is a member of the regiment of midshipmen and is the son of Jeff and JoAn Chartier.
