PARIS – Lee Paul Goulet has been named Veteran of the Month at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris.

Goulet was born in Sanford. He entered the Navy, serving from 1943 until 1945 and attaining the rank of Seaman 1st Class.

Goulet served in the Pacific during World War II, earning the American Area Ribbon, the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, European African Medal, Eastern Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal.

Following his service completion, he worked in the dye house in Sanford. He resides on the residential care unit at the veterans home.
