Worship service

SOUTH PARIS — Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, invites all to worship service at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 22. The service will be followed by coffee, refreshments and fellowship.

The church will also host the annual community ecumenical service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22. Parishioners from area churches are invited to join in the service.

Bridge group

WATERFORD — The Waterford Library bridge group will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23. No partner is
necessary and beginner and experienced players are welcome. It is an
informal group where participants may learn from each other.

The group will not meet in December. The regular schedule will resume in January. For more information call 583-2729.

Thanksgiving

SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford Hills Area Clergy Association
invites the community to take part in the annual Thanksgiving service
at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield
Road.

The participating clergy will conduct the worship with scripture readings, prayers and reflections. Hymns and anthems will be led by a combined choir. For more information, phone the Rev. Anne Stanley at 743-6782.

Women’s luncheon

 SOUTH PARIS — Christian Women United will have a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday,
Nov. 24, at First Congregational Church. Marion Chase
from Waterford will be the speaker. For reservations, call Janice at

Heywood club

 NORWAY — The Heywood Club will sell coffee, hot chocolate
and cookies during the Christmas parade from 1 to 3
p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28. All are invited to stop by the corner of Paris and Alpine streets.

Church activities

SUMNER — The Rev. Nancy Miaoulis invites the community to a
Thanksgiving Eve service on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the Congregational Church of
East Sumner. A meal will be served at 6 p.m. followed by the service.

The church will also have a potluck supper and slide show at 5:30
p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21; carolling at Victorian Villa, date to be determined; a living
nativity by the Youth Group on Saturday, Dec. 19; and a Christmas Eve service.

Vegetarian meal 

OXFORD — A free Thanksgiving meal with a vegetarian
turkey dinner will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 26,  at the
Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 259 Fore St.
