LEWISTON – A Caregiver Celebration will be held Friday, Nov. 9, at the Ramada Inn. Caregivers of a loved one who is above the age of 18 and is disabled or elderly are invited.
Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Special guests will include:
Dr. Laurel Coleman, a geriatrician noted for her work to improve the understanding and care of people with dementia. Coleman is also the medical director for Beacon Hospice.
Janet Edmunson, author of “Finding Meaning with Charles.” She is an inspirational speaker, writer and health promotion professional who is dedicated to using her life experiences and inner values to support the growth and self-esteem of the people her life touches.
A hot lunch buffet will be served and there will be activities such as manicures, therapeutic neck and back massage, foot massage, hand massage, hair restyling, makeup consultations, health screenings and raffles. There will also be printed educational information.
