AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St. The board of directors will meet at 10 a.m.
A food sale will be held after the regular meeting and members are reminded to include their favorite homebaked goodies. The slogan for the food sale is “Good things come in small packages.” It is hoped that members cook much, but deliver in small packages. Pies are also welcome, as well as garden vegetables.
Tickets will be on sale for $4 for the Halloween party on Wednesday, Oct. 24; $7, Thanksgiving dinner at Auburn United Methodist Church, Wednesday, Nov. 14; and $8, Christmas dinner at Ramada Inn Wednesday, Dec. 12. This will be the last chance to buy tickets for the Thanksgiving dinner.
There will be no raffle table. There will be a bag lunch, and bingo will be played after lunch.
When the group met on Sept. 24 under the direction of President Merry Strout, 54 members were present. Kay DeBurra was welcomed back, returning after an illness, and it was reported Pearl Sirois was a patient at Clover Manor.
September birthdays were acknowledged. Attendance prize winners were Ralph Lashua and Helen McGuire; pot of gold, Lee Koss, Hope Telow and Leone Ford. Bingo was played in the afternoon.
