PARIS – The Norway-Paris Fish and Game Association will hold the remaining two annual fall shoots at the shooting range on the Buckfield Road on Sundays, Sept. 16 and Sept. 23.
The shoots will consist of many rounds of trap shooting using clay targets as well as “running deer” competitions for the rifle and pistol enthusiasts.
A pat trap clay target machine is used to ensure quick and safe shooting at the trap range, while a life-sized target of a “running deer” on an electric pulley system is utilized at the rifle range.
Prizes will be awarded throughout the day and trophies handed out at the October meeting to the top shooters over the course of the three weekends, the first of which was held Sept. 9
Those participating can also get up to speed on the new clubhouse that is under construction along with other future plans for the shooting range as the Norway-Paris Fish and Game looks to support a growing membership in the coming years.
The club will hold the drawing for its gun raffle on the final Sunday of the shoots, Sept. 23. People do not need to be present to receive a gun if their ticket number is selected.
The first rounds of shooting will begin at 10 a.m. and the final round will end at 3 p.m. There will be a concession stand selling hamburgers, hot dogs, sodas and snacks. Contact Mark Truman at 743-7445 for more information.
