TURNER – American Legion District 3 Commander Kenneth G. Bouchard is calling on all American Legion posts in the district to remember National POW/MIA Recognition Day on Monday, Sept. 17.

“Let us salute together all American POWs and those missing in action who valiantly served our country and let us observe this day with appropriate ceremonies and activities,” Bouchard said.

Ceremonies are held throughout the nation and around the world on military installations on POW-MIA Recognition Day. The focus is to ensure that America remembers its responsibility to stand behind those who serve the nation and do everything possible to account for those who do not return.
