AUBURN – The Auburn Lewiston Art and Literature Club will meet at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Woman’s Literary Union.

The speaker will be Pearl Sawyer, who will read and discuss her poetry.

Sawyer has been writing poetry since 2002.

She has published five collections and is working on a sixth.

Her major focus is on nature, friendship and personal observations on aging.

Her poem, “The Wave Dances,” was published in “For All That is Our Life,” a Universalist Unitarian meditation anthology.

Hostesses for the meeting will be Mary Riley, Betty Crowley, Mary Provencher and Helen Archambault.
