Lyme disease

PARIS – A Lyme disease support group meeting will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Hope and Healing Center, 52 High St. For more information, contact Tracy Poland at 674-3781.

Grange supper

OXFORD – A public supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, at Oxford Grange 46 on Route 26. Menu will include roast pork and assorted pies. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12. Takeout will be available.

Yard sale

WATERFORD – The Wilkins House will hold an end-of-the-summer yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8. Fill a plastic shopping bag for $5. Everything must go and larger items will be priced half off.

The Wilkins Community House is located in Waterford behind the Village Green on Plummer Hill Road. Proceeds will help to support the upkeep of the building.

AARP meeting

PARIS – The Oxford Hills Chapter, AARP, will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the First Congregational Church of South Paris. The speaker wil be John Shattuck of the Growth Council of Oxford Hills.

A lunch will be served at noon. The menu is ham and cheese quiche, and cost is $6.50. Reservations must be phoned to Joyce at 743-7564 before noon on Friday, Sept. 7.

Society speaker

WATERFORD – The Waterford Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the North Waterford Grange Hall to celebrate the 100th anniversary of North Waterford Grange. Refreshments will be served.

There is no admission, but memberships to the society are available. The speaker will be Ed Holt on the Sawin Hill neighborhood. The society has three books for sale, histories of 1875 and 1976 and “This Is Waterford,” a collection of writings and photographs about the town.
