Sliders meeting

ROXBURY – Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club will hold the first meeting of the year at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the home of Raymond Touchette.

Rug braiding

MEXICO – Rug braiding classes will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. starting Tuesday, Sept. 4, at the Green Church for eight weeks. Donations to the church will be accepted. For more information, contact Natalie or Julieanne at 364-4079.

First meeting

Class lunch

RUMFORD – The Class of 1943 of Stephens High School will meet for lunch at the Route 2 Diner at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6. For more information, call Elaine at 364-8335.

Grange dinner

RUMFORD – Rumford Grange 115 will hold a public dinner from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9. The menu will include meat loaf and all the fixings and homemade pies. Cost is adults, $7; children under 12, $3.50. Takeouts will be available.

Bowlers to meet

RUMFORD – The Pine Tree Bowling League meeting and practice session will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Oxford Lanes. New bowlers are invited. For more information, call Rick at 364-7800.

Circle session

RUMFORD – St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at St. Athanasius St. John Church Hall.

The committee will be Lorraine Barre, chairwoman, Janet Bean, Collette Wagner, Simmone Rafuse, Bea Arsenault, Lorraine Briere, Rita Perry and Marie Coffin.

Women to meet

WILTON – The Western Mountain Women’s Connection will meet from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, with Rep. Tom Saviello at the Boiler Room.

There will be a lunch for $1, and guest speaker will be Judith Warren on “When Having it all is Not Enough.”
