LEWISTON – The Franco-American Heritage Center will open its new season of French gatherings, La Rencontre, on Friday, Sept. 7, at 46 Cedar St.
The event will start at 11:30 a.m. with a luncheon of lobster rolls, chips, pickles, dessert and beverage. The price is $7 a person. Volunteers will make the lobster rolls.
Those attending will hear 45 minutes of music provided by “La Famille Leblanc.” They performed last May at La Rencontre as well as at the first Soiree Canadienne on Aug. 24.
