School reunion

SUMNER – The Sumner School reunion will be held at the Universalist Church vestry at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25. Any teacher or student who attended the Sumner schools is encouraged to attend. A potluck dinner will be served at noon.

First supper

CASCO – The Sunshine Club of Webbs Mills will hold its first public supper of the season at 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Crescent Lake Community Hall, Route 11, Webbs Mills.

The menu will include homebaked beans, American chop suey, hot dogs, potato salad, Jell-O salad, pasta salad, coleslaw, corn bread, beverages and homemade pies. Cost is adults, $6; children ages 5 to 12, $3; under 5, free.

The Sunshine Club raises funds through public suppers to maintain the Crescent Lake Community Hall and contribute to the needs of friends and neighbors. Public suppers are held on the first Saturday of every month September through May.

The club meets at 7 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from August through May at the Crescent Lake Community Hall. New members are welcome,

Bridge play

NORWAY – The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met on Aug. 17 at the Fare Share Co-op, Main Street. The winners in A were Richard Balian and Bailey Geeslin; second, Peter Cummings and John Bravo; third, Georgette Jewell and Pat Quinn. Winning in B were Suzanne Andrews and Carol Curran.
