The Oxford County Democrats will have a booth at the Dixfield Flea Market on Sunday, Aug. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pam Pace is organizing the effort.

The Oxford County Democrats have been invited to join North Country Democrats in welcoming Sen. John Edwards on Saturday, Aug. 25, at Glen Avenue Park at the intersection of Route 16 and Brown Street in Berlin, N.H. Gov. John Baldacci, Congressman Tom Allen and Congressman Mike Michaud will be the guests of honor, along with elected officials Sheriff Wayne Gallant, Sen. Bruce Bryant, and representatives John Patrick, Tim Carter and Terry Hayes at the Oxford County Democrats Summer BBQ and Family Fun Day on Sunday, Aug. 26, at the Maine Conservation School. Barbecue tickets are $20 for adults; $10 for those under 10, and under 5 free. The meal, consisting of hamburgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers, corn, salads and strawberry shortcake, will be served at 2 p.m. Families are welcome to spend the afternoon enjoying the facilities of the conservation school.
