Anderson/Staples Post 112, American Legion, wanted to acknowledge and thank the public service departments of Oxford. The certificate of commendation on the post level is presented to men and women for outstanding service to the community through the carrying out of their duties in a manner that reflects credit upon all fire, police and rescue department personnel and for dedication to the profession beyond the call of duty. Chosen as EMT of the Year was Sally Lane; Firefighter of the Year, Deputy Chief David Heidrich; and Police Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, Michael Ward.
