Potluck supper

HARTFORD – A community goodwill potluck supper will be held Friday, Aug. 3, at the town hall, 1198 Main St. The supper will begin at 6 p.m., with a door prize drawing to follow at 7. Bring a dish to share. There will be tickets available to purchase for the Hartford home and garden tour being held Saturday, Aug. 4.

Grange meeting

WEST PARIS – Franklin Grange 124 members will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at the grange hall on Main Street.

Church supper

NORTH WATERFORD – A public supper will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the North Waterford Congregational Church, 5 Kezars Pond Road. The menu will include baked beans, casseroles, salads, brown bread, rolls, beverages and homemade pies. The price for adults is $7, and children under 12, $3.50.

Regular Sunday worship services will be moved to the Stoneham Congregational Church, Main Street, Stoneham, from Sunday, Aug. 5, through the end of October. Bible study will begin at 9:15 a.m., with the regular worship service starting at 10 each Sunday.

Seniors picnic

HANOVER – The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Stoney Brook Campground for a picnic. Members will bring a salad or dessert to share.

Hymn sing

WATERFORD – Waterford Congregational Church, Plummer Hill, will have another hymn sing at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8. After an hour of singing, ice cream sundaes with homemade sauce will be served next door at the Wilkins Community House.

Mission speakers

NORWAY – The public is invited to celebrate the 22nd anniversary for Oxford Hills Christian Fellowship, corner of Country Club Road and Route 117, featuring missionary evangelists Monte and Dianne Showalter. The schedule of services is 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Aug. 9 and 10; 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12. For more information, call 743-2103.

Fundraising night

NORWAY – Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Church will sponsor a fundraising evening of “Messages from Spirit,” featuring medium Laurie Xanthos, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, at the Fare Share Co-op, Main Street.
