LEWISTON – The second annual Festival FrancoFun will again be serving its authentic Quebecois food prepared and served by the family of Martine Gagne.
For several years Martine and her family have been responsible for setting up, organizing, preparing and serving a variety of Canadian treats at the Festival de Joie and now for the second year continuing the tradition by doing the same for Festival FrancoFun.
Members of the Festival Committee said, “This is one of the biggest pieces to having a successful weekend. With this crew at the helm, everyone is confident that it will once again be a job well done.”
Typical foods such as “tourtiere” meat pies, pea soup, creton, crepes, boudin and a bean supper, as well as a wide selection of American foods, will be served.
The festival takes place at the Colisee Friday through Sunday, Aug. 3 to 5. Tickets are available at Shaw’s supermarkets, the Colisee or at the Franco-American Heritage Center. Daily tickets are $10 and a three-day pass is $25. Call 783-1585 for more information.
