Matthew C. Defiore, son of Katherine Defiore of Mexico and the late Timothy M. Defiore and a student of Mountain Valley High School in Rumford, was named the year 2007 recipient of the Saint Michael’s College Scholarship and Service Book Award. The award recognizes students who demonstrate of commitment to volunteerism and leadership through community service.
