TURNER – There are still upcoming classes open at SAD 52 Adult and Community Education: Driver Dynamics is a five-hour defensive driving-driver improvement program and a second class will be held on Mon. and Wed., July 23 and 25.

Those completing this course will receive a three point credit on their driving record.

All registrations and payments need to be made through Karen’s Driving School prior to the start of class.

A second, Driver Education, class starts July 30 with 30 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of driving. Call 783-7483 to register. Summer Yoga mini session beginning July 23 and running through Aug. 13.

Great for improving flexibility, strength and rounding out your current physical fitness program.

The class instructor is an experienced yoga and massage practitioner of over 25 years. The Young Scientists Series will present “Water Rockets 3-2-1 Blast Off” on Sat., July 28 for ages seven through 12 with adult participant required.

Make your very own high-flying water/air powered rockets, launchers and recovery system using a 2-liter soda bottle, plumbing fittings and a bicycle pump.

The second program in the Young Scientists Series is on Fossils and takes place Saturday, Aug. 4 and is for ages seven through 12. Discuss the creatures found in the oceans during the Paleozoic era; curious trilobites and voracious sea monsters.

Using clay models and plaster, each child will create their fossil evidence of prehistoric sea life.

The final class in the Young Scientists Series is Electronic Kits and will be held Saturday, Aug. 11.

Ages seven to 12 with adult participant required. Learn the fundamental parts of electronic circuits including resistors, capacitors and batteries. Build and take home an exciting electric circuit which contains a computer chip.

The Major League Soccer Camp for boys and girls ages five through 18 takes place the week of July 30 through August 3.

This program offers over 30 years of soccer camp experience. Coaches are licensed and trained in First Aid and many are from the British Isles. All campers receive a personal camp evaluation, MLS ball and MLS t-shirt.

Middle Eastern Belly Dance, a profoundly beautiful and ancient dance expression was created by women for women.

Join Chontel on Sat., Aug. 11 from 10:30 a.m. to noon to unlock the mystery of this art form as you energize from the inside out.
