Emily Johnson will graduate from Boston University on May 20 with a bachelor’s degree in human physiology. She will work toward her master’s degree in public health from BU in the next year and will travel to Kenya this summer for five weeks as part of her internship program.

Johnson will attend classes combined with field work among the African people to provide humanitarian aid. She will be accompanied by an interpreter to evaluate certain communities and help improve general health conditions to combat disease.

She is the daughter of Ken and Sue Johnson of Buckfield.
