LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will meet at noon Thursday, May 17, at the Ramada Inn to hear a presentation by Michael O’Neal, president and owner of Guard-A-Kid of Maine.

Guard-A-Kid is a nationally recognized child identification and safety program. Law enforcement officials urge parents everywhere to keep an updated picture, fingerprints and critical information about their child at their fingertips.

They believe access to the information in the first 30 minutes after the child is reported missing can play a critical role in the quick and safe recovery of the child. The Guard-A-Kid Child ID Program offers a complete child identification kit to help protect children.

O’Neal has been in law enforcement for more than 10 years, was a military police officer in the U.S. Army and is a part-time patrol deputy sheriff.

Anyone wishing to hear the speaker or to learn more about Rotary is welcome to attend. Weekly buffet luncheons are $8 a person. Access the club’s Web site at www.lewistonauburnrotary.org for more information.
