OES to meet
LISBON FALLS – Pioneer Chapter 11, Order of the Eastern Star, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the Ancient York Masonic Hall, Route 196. Members will honor sideliners. An auction will benefit the Boy Scouts of Lisbon Falls. Refreshments will follow the meeting. All members of the order are invited.
AARP speaker
LEWISTON – The Androscoggin Chapter 4077, AARP, will meet at 1:15 p.m. Monday, May 21, at the Multi-Purpose Center, Birch Street. It will be the last meeting of the season. The directors will meet at 12:30 p.m.
Dr. Joe Mackin, the only board-certified Atlas Orthogonist in the state, will address the group.
Mackin is a graduate of Sherman Chiropractic College. He is also advanced proficiency rated with Activator Chiropractic Methods.
Mackin specialized in the Atlas Orthogonal Technique, which utilizes precision instrument spinal correction. One of the most obvious differences with this chiropractic specialty is the gentle way in which it works. There is no strenuous manipulation employed.
Anyone age 50 or older is invited to attend. There will be attendance and pot of gold drawings. Refreshments will be served.
Seniors trips
SABATTUS – The Sabattus Senior Citizens held a dinner/meeting on May 3. The members were served Chinese pie, desserts and beverages.
President Stan Pelletier opened the meeting with a prayer and the pledge allegiance. The birthday list was read and the ”Birthday Song” was sung. Secretary Joline Loesberg reported and Treasurer Pauline Gemme read the financial report. There were 89 members attending.
Trip Coordinator Jean Doyon has a Horizon Edge Casino cruise set for June 16 for $53; Cabbage Island, Aug. 16, $73; and Fryeburg Fair, Oct. 2, $21. For more information, call Doyon at 784-5264.
