Ashley Lauze of Rumford has been accepted to the University of Maine in Orono for the fall semester. Lauze has also been invited to attend the Honors College. To be eligible, students should have a strong academic record, score well on the SAT (ACT) and show curiosity, initiative and intellectual flexibility in academic work.

Lauze will major in liberal arts and history. She is the daughter of Marcia Chaisson of Rumford and Albert Lauze Jr. of Berwick and the granddaughter of Albert and Janice Chaisson of Rumford and Albert and June Lauze Jr. of Wells.
