LEWISTON – The Franco American Heritage Center will host the monthly Rencontre at 11:30 a.m. Friday, May 4.

Since January, the event has been sponsored by TV5MONDE.

The performers Friday will be La Famille Leblanc of Livermore Falls. The family has sung together for numerous years and perform at French festivals throughout the state. The group includes Gerry Meservier, Tim LeBlanc, Don Leblanc, Linda Leblanc, Jackie Floyd and Lionel Meservier.

The meal will be donated by Campus Cuisine of Sisters of Charity Health System and will consist of clam chowder and a variety of sandwich wraps and dessert. The coffee is a donation from Dunkin Donuts.

Guests are encouraged to speak only French for a two-hour period. Usually around 300 people attend.
