LEWISTON – Advocates for Children will offer “Parenting 201, Keeping Peace at Home” at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday April 24. The class will help parents understand why conflict occurs, how to prevent it and how to reach a peaceful resolution. It will help parents acquire a more peaceful, harmonious life at home.

Registration is required, and childcare will be provided. The class is recommended for parents with children ages 4 to 12. Call 783-3990 to register.

A Mandated Reporter Training will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Advocates For Children, B Street Community Center, 57 Birch St.

Professionals who work with children who are mandated by law to report suspected abuse or neglect of a child can learn what it means to be a mandated reporter and how to recognize the signs and symptoms of abuse.
