Club meeting

MEXICO – The Mexico Trail Blazers will hold its last meeting of the season at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, downstairs in the Mexico Town Hall. Those who have grooming hours to turn in should attend.

Those would would like to join the club can attend the meeting or call Nick Brown at 364-8665. All are welcome to the meeting.

Seed day

RUMFORD – Rumford Grange 115 will hold a free seed day from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at the grange, Rumford Center.

Class lunch

RUMFORD – The women of Stephens High School Class of 1948 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 19, at the River Valley Grill. If attending, call Simmone at 364-3801.

Reporter training

RUMFORD – Community Concepts is sponsoring two free child abuse and neglect mandated reporter trainings in May. The agency will provide lunch and handouts.

Michelle Brown, LSW, will be the lead facilitator. Sherle Heathers, CPS supervisor for Oxford County, is scheduled to co-facilitate the Oxford Hills training.

The Oxford Hills region training will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 17, at the Community Concepts main office, 17 Market Square, South Paris.

The Rumford region training will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, tentatively set at the Rumford Library conference room. For more information, call 364-7408.

Informational meeting

RUMFORD – SMART Child and Family Services will hold an informal meeting for those interested in learning more about foster care and for foster parents interested in leaning the difference between regular and treatment level foster care.

The Oxford and Franklin County areas need foster homes for children unable to stay in their own home. Those with an interest in learning more about foster care should consider attending the meeting.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at the Hotel Harris, 25 Hartford St., on the mezzanine level. Light refreshments will be served. Those attending the meeting should call Jo Bradeen at 364-4820 For more information, call Bradeen or visit www.smartcfs.org.
