Going to service
MINOT – Members of Androscoggin Pomona Grange will attend the 10 a.m. service at the Minot Corner Methodist Church on Sunday, April 22, in observance of “Go to Church Sunday.” Members are asked to assemble at 9:30. Following the service, those in attendance will dine at Roscoe’s Rocking Railroad Buffet in Mechanic Falls. All members and guests are welcome.
Young at Heart
AUBURN – The Young at Heart Fellowship will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, at the Court Street Baptist Church.
A business meeting will be held with President Winston Greaton presiding. Devotions will be led by the Rev. Allison VanderLinden, a former interim pastor at Court Street Baptist Church. The program will be given by the Edward Little High School Chamber Singers, Beth Labrie directing.
Members are asked to bring a bag lunch and a place setting; also an item for the door prize. Dessert and beverage will be provided. All senior citizens are welcome.
Breakfast meeting
LEWISTON – WorkMed will sponsor a “The Bottom Line and the Business of Health” breakfast on Monday, April 30, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave.
The discussion on preplacement exams will be moderated by Jonathan Torres, MD, MPH, director of WorkMed. Guest panelists will include Rachael White, RN, COHN-S, L.L. Bean senior employee health nurse; Allie McCormack, attorney, Taylor, McCormack and Frame, LLC, Portland; and Rod Stanley, MEMIC, director of construction operations.
Registration and buffet will start at 7:15 a.m. The presentation will run from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. People should reserve a seat by Friday, April 20, via e-mail at [email protected] or call 753-5464.
Cemetery meeting
GREENE – The annual meeting of the Valley Cemetery Association will be held at 7 p.m. Monday May 7, at the home of John Fogg.
