LEWISTON – The Red Cross Donor Center at Central Maine Medical Center is seeking volunteer blood donors to help replenish depleted blood product supplies.

The American Red Cross is experiencing a blood shortage as the result of collection disruptions caused by inclement weather, electrical power disruptions and school vacation schedules.

The donor center is open from noon to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The last donors of the day are received at about 6:30 p.m.

Donors can contribute without an appointment on a walk-in basis or they may schedule an appointment by calling 795-2260.

The Red Cross Donor Center at CMMC is located on the ground floor of the Memorial Wing.
