RUMFORD – St. Athanasius-St. John School is gearing up for its annual auction at 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, at the Eagles Club. Doors will open at 5. Auctioneer will be Mark Prevost again this year. The public is invited.
Committee members have gathered many items for the auction.
“The River Valley region is exceptional. It is a remarkable community,” said a committee member. “We have worked long and hard and are pleased with the items we have for the auction so far. Anyone that attends the event will not only have fun, but will have the opportunity to walk away with some wonderful items again this year.”
Items include a handmade quilt, race tickets, newspaper subscriptions, a razor scooter, dance lessons, an American Girl doll, Red Sox tickets, Storyland passes, Maine tourmaline jewelry, beano passes, Sea Dogs tickets and an I-Pod.
Proceeds will allow St.Athanasius-St. John School help defray overall school expenses and help in the purchase of classroom items, updating the computer lab and participation of the students and faculty in educational and cultural events.
Businesses or individual may donate an item or make a monetary donation by contacting the school at 364-2528.
