LEWISTON – Lewiston-Auburn Rotary was the major supporter for the first-ever Healthy Androscoggin Youth 2 Youth Roadshow on March 29 at L/A College. A total of 113 middle and high school students from Lewiston, Auburn, Poland, Lisbon, Turner, Leeds and Greene attended.
Keynote presenter was the Dover, N.H., Youth 2 Youth group, which included 15 youth. They have presented in 18 states and at major conferences. Nine of the Roadshow sessions were presented by Dover Youth 2 Youth.
Healthy Androscoggin’s own Lisbon Y2Y and SADD group also presented. Other presenters included Juvenile Justice, Bedard Pharmacy and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, CMMC Wellness and St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
The youth now have the ability to impact more than 6,200 other students in their schools.
Healthy Androscoggin is a community coalition funded in part by the Healthy Maine Partnership, Maine Centers for Disease Control, Department of Health and Human Services and Maine Office of Substance Abuse.
