Indoor yard sale

MEXICO – Plans were finalized for the indoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at the Congregational United Church, Main Street, when the Women’s Fellowship met March 20.

It was also announced that several women have been knitting small pastel-colored caps, and more than 20 have been donated to Rumford Hospital for newborns. Work continues on the project, as well as on layettes which the church sends to Church World Service each spring.

Book discussion

DIXFIELD – The Adult Reading Group of the Ludden Memorial Library will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at the library. Light refreshments and tea or coffee will be served during the meeting.

The book, “Saving Grace: The True Story of a Mother-to-be, a Deranged Attacker and an Unborn Child” by Sarah Brady, will be discussed. There will also be an opportunity for discussion of other favorite readings.

Club to meet

ROXBURY – The Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club will hold the final meeting of the season at 7 p.m. Monday, April 2, at the home of Sylvia and Raymond Touchette. A light supper will be served at 6 and the meeting will start at 7 p.m.
