Women to meet

MEXICO – The women of Stephens High School Class of 1948 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at the Chicken Coop. Call Maddy at 364-7235 if attending.

Benefit supper

RUMFORD – A supper to benefit David Fitzpatrick will be held from 5 p.m. until sold out Saturday, March 17, at the Elks Lodge, River Street. The menu will include Italian sausage and peppers, followed by karaoke with Dan Richards from 7 to 11 p.m.

St. Paddy dance

RUMFORD – A St. Patrick’s Day dance will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday, March 17, at the Legion Hall, Congress Street. Music will be by Billy Scott and Kevin Libby. Admission is by donation, with proceeds to benefit the Legion baseball programs. The dance is open to the public.

Grange meal

RUMFORD – A St. Patrick’s Day dinner will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at Grange 115, Route 2. The menu will include corned beef and cabbage. Cost is adults, $7; children under 12, $3.50; take-out available.

Ag meeting

RUMFORD – The Agricultural Commission is planning an informational public meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at the River Valley Technology Center, 60 Lowell St. The purpose is to present information to improve the regional farmer’s market.

The commission is inviting all agricultural producers, farmers and artisans to attend the meeting. Discussions will involve the structure of the already established River Valley Farmer’s Market and how to offer the best variety and product in one general location.
