LIVERMORE FALLS – March is Missions Emphasis Month at Emmanuel Assembly of God. Throughout the month, the church will have guest speakers. Dale Carlson from the Root Cellar Ministry in Lewiston will be the speaker at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 11. The Root Cellar is in the process of renovating a building on Birch Street in Lewiston.
While the renovation is taking place, staff is also reaching out to families in the area. They have distributed 1,200 cases of water and more then 3,500 winter coats. They have found that one of the most needed items is mattresses so that children and families won’t have to sleep of cold floors.
The ministry theme is “Meeting the physical and spiritual needs of inner city youth and their families.”
Peter Fabriano will be the speaker for the service at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 18. He is the director for the new Teen Challenge Center that is opening in Winthrop. The center helps men with life-controlling drug and alcohol addictions. Randy Peterson of Global Church Building will be the speaker at 6 p.m. Sunday, March 18.
Doug Sietz will be the final guest speaker at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 25. He is involved with Northern Asia’s Compassionate Touch.
