Peace workshop

FARMINGTON – The Western Mountains Peace Action Workshop will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Ricker Addition, University of Maine at Farmington.

Plans will be made for the peace demonstrations, “On Every Village Green,” on Saturday, March 17. Anyone who would like to be part of the peace movement in Franklin County is welcome. Ricker Addition is located behind Ricker Hall and Mantor Library between Main and High streets.

Forum breakfast

WILTON – An “early bird” Community Forum breakfast will be held on Wednesday, March 7, at Wilton Congregational Church, Main Street. Dr. Michael Cormier, superintendent of SAD 9, will speak on school redistricting. Doors will open at 6:30 a.m., with a breakfast buffet available at 6:45. The speaker and question period will be held from 7 to 7:30 a.m. The public is welcome. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted.

Open house

WILTON – The Wilton Free Public Library will host a St. Patrick’s Day open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, March 17. There will be fiddle and guitar music by Katie Wegner and Jonathon Norton, refreshments and readings.
